An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support a K-12 school program in Plainfield, Illinois. This part-time, contract position spans from March 10, 2026, through September 6, 2026, covering a maternity leave assignment within a Special Education Cooperative.
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted occupational therapy services to students across a K-12 caseload.
- Collaborate with school teams to support students with varied needs, including Autism and Multi-Needs programs.
- Deliver approximately 14 hours of therapy weekly, working with multiple sites including Walnut Trails (Autism), Minooka Central High School (REACH program), Minooka South High School (REACH program), and the Grundy County Special Education Cooperative (GCSEC) for both Multi-Needs and Autism programs.
- Monitor and document student progress to align with individualized education plans (IEPs) and program expectations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary strategies enhancing student success.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
- Proven ability to work with diverse K-12 populations, including students on the autism spectrum and with multiple needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with educators, families, and support staff.
- Capable of managing caseloads efficiently within a special education cooperative framework.
Location: Plainfield, Illinois (with responsibilities across multiple school locations within the cooperative).
